The Right Honorable Joan Ryan
Honorable the Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Enfield North, United Kingdom
Longtime Member of Parliament and former Chair of the Labour Friends of Israel before leaving the Labour Party to join Change UK - The Independent Group in 2019 due to rampant anti-Semitism in the Labour Party. A non-Jewish ally of the Jewish people worldwide, her unwavering support of Israel and the Jewish people has come at great personal and professional cost, as she has been accused of "fabricating" the serious allegations of anti-Semitism in the Labour Party under the leadership of known "friend of Hamas" Jeremy Corbyn, as well as being a Mossad operative. Nevertheless, she has endured, and her speech at the 2019 AIPAC Policy Conference was among the most moving of the entire program.
